You talk to yourself?

Of course

    Of course.

                 Just like that?
Just like that

You don

    I’m not comfortable admittin . .
. . Yet comfortable to ask

I thought you’d ask me why.

I write

Words on a page dialogue has to be spoken to be sure the intonation syntax vocabulary is true to the character

Say out loud test it

Best way to understand if you have it the cadence the punctuation right

Now

Given I live with four cats

Every morning at breakfast as I feedem I tellem the day the date if theres an anniversary birthday or something special about it

I ask if they know the year
Figurefingers crossed one might belchsay Twothousandtwentysix

Then I make my mint

Take the show on the road

Whas the year

belch Twothousandsix
                         Strike while the irons hot

Year over they wont know twothousandseven

Compelling reason to defend talking to yourself.

    No defence

                    Me an my cats
