a loop keeps reoccurring reoccurring to himnot days apart

its been weeks since it first seemed to him  his memory haunting himnot caring to be denied or ignored  residual  toxic and benign he could scrub it until he scrubbed himself raw but it wasnt going awayrelenting
he was stained

it stayed

lazy and greedy occurred to him at once  unseparated

greedy

lazy
a maniacal loop fixed end on end a fabric fixed with fast stitch not fixedcorrected  permanently fixed

lazy and greedylazy and greedy  two silveredmirrors set across from each other multiplying their overlayed image into infinity perhaps  if he could look deeply into their repeated face atomised

if laziness is astute he thought it a natural attribute of the lazy they learn and understand when and where they can siphon from others  the others are either unaware or indulgent or aware but too committed to the matter at hand to be distracted by the fray of indolencetheir minor irritation

however a parasite doesnt go unnoticed
while not attended to during the heat of the matter at the appropriate time the tickthe leech are either backed out a smouldering match held to their posterior or gently wishing though not to be gentle gently sliding a fingernail beneath their anterior sucker pushing it aside rather than pulling on it to minimise the damage their teeth could inflict exacerbating the wound

infection is unwanted

it seemed he couldnt tolerate as others might the unending tumble of greed and laziness

he understood they were attributes inherent to human animals he did but lacking tolerance he consistently positioned himself to work separate of his workmates which his workmates didnt minded because none wanted to work as hard as he didthey couldnt keep up he exhausted them however it wasnt because they were either lazy or greedy  among them a few were he realised long ago that by his equation he wouldnt have to contend with that few
he left them far afield

inert dust and hubris in their teeth

he didnt look back
