Sitting together in council  as in the sense of an Algonquian pawewa
                                                                           theres always much to discuss
yet things are often left unsaid
not that all things can possibly be said

the People who unfortunately are missing from it their absence  we remain uninformed of their minds and intentions

then as often happens as is Life
events cascade or are delayed or are sorrowfully terminated

their lingering absences become codified in nonexistence

our unexamined questions
bitter paper cuts which languish and smart the moment we forget them

there is no balm or imagination to repair these wounds

they are our bittersweet remnants
to say what it is we want to sayto try and forget we struggle to articulate them well
and have to repeat them again and again until all wiggle room is played out and all wedges are tapped into place

nothing is oblique
                    the whole is square
and square

then all things that come from it

we will have no excuse for them also not to be square

at every onset we should be skeptical
                                         and convinced only by evidence
