Whichfrankly isnt any wilder than the night prior when I dreeamed in cartoons drawn by a lousy cartoonistnot me  I woudnt pickup a pen pencil paintbrush chalk to doodle nothing

Of course

Began with creed the word held for a while  then like a slow slide projector it slipped from the frame to reveal the next Screed  Seed  Meek  Weakthank Gawd E  A not another pair of Es

Then a succession

Gave me enough time to wonder in between times if there was a message orif the nerd cartoonist had returned just to fuck with me another day  or night

carrying the kids from the car into the house up to their beds without them waking
                                                                                        fortunately
they only had two
he didnt have another arm for a third

that was something he did since he helped his parents carry his younger siblings in

    he liked it then

he likes it now

they knew couples who woke their children and made them walk

learning that they decidedhe insisted  they keep those families at arms length

they could not correct whatever it was that was deficient in them

                                                                         learned behaviour

You’re spoiling those children.

    they werent someone to say

You have to agree an inexpensive way to spoilem

A time will come when we wont be able to

                                                 Then

Our hearts will ache more than our arms an backs ever did

he pushed it

even when the time came when he had to carry them separatelywhen they feigned sleep to be carried
he got it

they enjoyed it as much as he

thats when one night as they laid in bed to sleep his wife kissed his shoulder  said

You know, you’re spoiling the girls.

Ahbabe theyre mine to spoil
