carefully unwrapped it on the Formica kitchen table

it contained an envelope  his name on it   handwritten
                                                           inside  another wrapped package

I do not want to talk with you. Please do not call again.
I know when you receive this you will honor me.

We have enjoyed, loved, may I say, definitely loved, our time together.

Unfortunately, our together has growing less and less frequent, according to our unrelenting unnegotiable passions.  I know you do not frown. Others might, But they may not be prone or disposed to passion as we.

We have discussed this.

There is nothing more to discuss.

I love you.

I always will.

It is time we move forward entirely separate from one another. separate from one another  this ink dull dabbed  tear stain

Open the package now. I know you read this note first.

I laugh.  Bad is good.

I love you, me

he didnt fold itput it back in the envelope   later
laid it gently  flat  beside the package
it was folded closed

unfolding it imagined her hands folding it  sharply   folded before she placed the item
                                                                                unfolded a lime green tshirt
across the chest  italicised font  done in complementary blue
                                                                    bad news
a strip of manila cloth fluttered off its back
on it she handstitched  I love you very much. me

the date sewn smaller  vertically  up the right hemmed end

                                                                    he fingered the end    sighed
