the bus broke down

driver pulled it off to the side of the road

it was bleeding out

they werent going anywhere 

some of the passenger were irritatedsome angry   he was amused

wheels come off of things

machinery  mechanisms relationships

allbout maintenance

keep an eye on the moving partseye for signs of trouble

if something seems amiss ya notice it work on it 

                                                          or itll roll to an empty halt 

wasnt often he got to sitstill in a bustedbus

he sat with silent people 

                           those who had something to say disembarkedstood on the roadside discussed their disgust talked on their cellphones  three crossed a shallow grassy ditch to a barbedwire fence  had a cigarette

   amusing himself he wrote on a piece of paper  SITTIN ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD SIDE came off his pen crazylike the S and D bigger than the I an E florid in his red ink 

                                                         made him laugh  he might have made a dandy tagger scrawling nonsense on train cars walls alleyways signs viaducts overpasses trestles anything that didnt move or stoodstill a stupidminute  undecided
