he was a manchild a minimalist informed by small  the components that madeup living he thought Life but they were different

         the little things that badgered and bitchedforced their way in  swellingdistorting themselves like blowfish to attract his  wandering   attention

as a kid adults his parents teachers relations worried about his lack of focusPAY ATTENTION! 

he was not not paying attention 

                                 they failed to realise their competition with the small thingssometimes animate  tender parts of what he named mosaic 

                                 sugar bowls and shotglasses beef jerky and trees bark bees hummingbirds shadows of falling leaves creek eddies birds soundlessly soaring overhead which caused him pause to watch minutes on end imagining what it looked like from their height or what they were looking at  and that at altitude most things appeared small to them 

               thenagain  recognising their kinship
