absently he took hot water for his tea off the stove the clock above the electric burners read 9:33

turninround he stepped to the sink to pour the water into his mug over it  

                                                                            Whawastha he wondered  whawas I supposed to remember 

  violently his eyes leapt from their socketsrappelled to his chestpunched through it and out his back 

                                                                                                          9:35  

as he set the mug on the counterturnedround again they speedily slopped back into his skull  he rubbed them with his knuckles 

          they were correct

  aah he recalled  eye appointment this afternoon 

                                                     he wasnt seeing things correctly though he wasnt sure that either an optometrist or ophthalmologist could help 

his eyes saw what they wanted to see

                                            he was along for the ride
