                                                     but he was having a lot of fun with all these 2s and 0s chasing each other

2s reminded him of holding his breath underwater at the community swimming pool eyes open watching girls jump in from the three-meter divingboard and see their tops yanked up and them yanking them down in place again eyes closed none the wiser

by late in the summer he was able to hold his breath to catch three consecutive girls jump in and clear out of the way before coming up for air

he never told a soul
