it was proved to be made of his left humeral knob 

it was the only bit of his left humeral head found

his right humerus was intact  and if wanted it could be wield as a cudgel

however  there was an imprecision to it

the buffalo shaped bone apparently existed outside of his body decades prior to his death

eventually dental records IDd him 

his medical records confirmed he underwent a hemiarthroplasty  the end of his left humeral head was cut away to allow for the deployment of a titanium ball that fitted perfectly into his socket

the cut away knob was sliced into pieces to determine if osteonecrosis bone death exacerbated the hemiarthroplasty

records say it was not bone death

records say the remains were cremated
