immolated . . . by melancholy

immolated
by melancholy

                   a slow crawling
dull red coal that scavenges
the moisture of tears                                                                                                                   scorches                                                                                                                                                the dry tortured tender beneath

eating to its core vanquishing the pith where memories cling
                                                                                                  turning     and turning into
morbid grey ash

Blowviate:

plugged in to All In with Chris Hayes this evening
his first segment is entitled “Bowe Bergdahl’s dad now in Fox crosshairs”
                                                                                                                     which is ludicrous
Fox hasnt crosshairs
crosshairs suggest fine weaponry
at best it possesses open sights
and Id run with U-notch and post or ghost ring sights

at 3 minutes and 5 seconds into the program Bill O’Reilly weighs in from the seat of his pants to address American POW Bowe Bergdahl’s dad:
“He has learned to speak Pashto, the language
of the Taliban, and looks like a Moslem (Im taking the spelling from the Levantine writer
Nassim Nicholas Taleb).
Now, the reason I said Bob Bergdahl (the way he pronounces Bergdahl sounds like bird dog  -
Im not confident disrespect wasnt intended) looks like a Moslem . . . is that he looks like
a Moslem.
My job is to be honest, and to analyze honestly.
The man shows up at the White House (and fingers go up like quills on O’Reilly’s hand to count and demonstrate the ways he manages his honesty) looking like a Moslem; he speaks Pashto;
he thanks Allah (which O'He pronounces a-la, which sounds suspiciously like à la, as in à la carte).
It's inappropriate.

"I’ll tell ya this, Kurtz,
and you’ll ea - you’re gonna remember these words:
This father and this son . . . they were sympathetic to the Taliban.
That’s going to be borne out.
(talking over Kurtz's commentary)
That’s going to be borne out.”

O’Reilly really brings out the tenacious in me
I never ever want to misquote his gall  bullshit
