collapsed into a leaning chainlinked fence whose poured concrete postbases were exposed

is a faded black canopied babybuggey

he refused to climb the hill to the fence

or inspect the contents

   expecting

               if he did

hed find the dryrot carcass of a baby that made the babybuggy

                                                                     let some other hero discover it
