                 he purchased it October 16, 2020 to replace a failed Model 442A that was     old  years

easily five

she is still sitting quietly on the counter where he placed her October 16, 2020 – December 27, 2025  as close to a gravestone as any coffeemaker has possibly ever made it

aside from a couple of weeklong trips each year shes he refers to machines as she because hes arent as capable or dependable  shes made coffee for him virtually every day and several times every month hes leaned against the opposite cabinetcounter and watched vapour rise gracefully out of her crown

when shes finished he pours himself a cup and returning the carafe to the cradling hotplate he runs his hands up her flanks and thanks her out loud for making him coffee

     every system will fail

he did not take her for granted

           genuinely
