“I can’t bring myself to talk about it.”

was watching Netflixs The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes he couldnt remember the characterthe gentleman who said it however he was struck by the tendernessthe fragility in his voice and the  crushing admission
made him pause the documentary and sit back in his chair and think

he repeated it several times out loud and as he did he searched his memory banks for anything he couldnt talk about

zip bupkis  nada
                    which could suggest  two things

1  his life wasnt interesting

2   he hadnt done anything to regret
he didnt aspire to celebrityto be recognised preferred his anonymityhis ability to come and go anywhere do anything he wanted off the radar

he also lived by the quaint notion Do unto others as you will have others do unto you not because it was based on Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount but rather because it seemed common sense to him
it served him well he didnt turn a cheek someone had to fuck with him first before he fucked with them  fucked them up

life is easier to move through if one isnt a prick or cunt
and he wasnt adverse or uncomfortablesaw it unmanly to step aside and let those personalities pass
lifes too short

he was grateful he couldnt say “I can’t bring myself to talk about it.”
