many children are raised in the throe and embrace of fantastic magical stories patiently read to them of kings queens princesses princes courts commoners witches woodsmen monsters and brave heroes
                                                                                         they have been raised on fast tides their imaginations senses pummeled by thrilling high waves from which there seems no safe harbor but which in the end submit  and again sea creatures peer happily from and bathe in bright crystal pools simmering in low tides

they have been raisedmore often that not  with happy endings

                 he didnt think happy endings had to end in childhood that childish things should be put down and put away because he was older
                              his curiositiesfascinations hadnt turned aside or were tamed they remained as vivid and stubborn
