             the last he heard ulterior motives uttered washe remembered precisely  a “friend” said it to him  Miami March 1976  the negative connotation wasnt just implied  it bore weight

the dialogue reminded him of the woman friend had made the comment about  friend later wounded him in the leg with a .410 shotgun while hunting rabbits in the Everglades
