Ever.

Ever  Thats an unusual name

I’ve been told. My parents sought a memorable name, at that time, for all time. I think they did it. Ever. I like my name.

Sometimes people insist they don’t like their names, named for a relative, maybe long-dead, or after their parents, not an original name.

Some fume their parents were too lazy to be original.

Can you imagine not being thoughtful when naming your child, your flesh and blood, another human being, and forevermore that’s their label?

Your parents certainly gave it thought

Yes. And I’m more grateful than I can say.

What’s your name?

George

George?

Yes Im named for my father and his father and his father before him The first born male has always taken his fathers name

Why?

Tradition

Tradition? Seems, you’ll excuse me, that’s as thoughtful as wiping one’s ass.

Whoa

Do you think it was thoughtful to name you George? Or was it reflexive, coerced?

My younger brothers name is George too We have different middle names

Georges? I’m . . lost for . . words.

I do like your name Ever

Thank you.

Ever  Your parents knocked it out of the park

Thank you. My parents were observant. Thoughtful to the point of distraction.
