he watched her like a hawk

he told her  I got my eyes on you 

she smiled largely

he couldnt see her smile

it lived in her huge hazel eyes

he couldnt see her smile because her face was hidden behind a ventilator mask

her eyes shined 

                 smiled huge smiles he wouldnt forgetsmiles he wouldnt ever see again

smiles unlike hed ever see anyone smile

deep  expressive  soulful  smiles

he was over the moon to be their recipient

he pleased her

                that was his job  one of threetheir job was to be sure to the best of their suddennewfound skills and abilities to keep that smile in her eyes

he watched her like a hungry hawk
