frankly Frankie

Frankie pursed her lips they were glossy cherryred  she cut an inticinginviting pose

he didnt take the bait

he wanted tohe didnt

thatd be crossing the line

Oh, damn she stammered you frustrate me

Lets not talk about frustratingawright You dont think youre frustrating me

Why don’t you just fuck me and we won’t be frustrated.

he rolled his eyessighing

she smiled lasciviously whispered I could fuck you.

Wouldja stop Frankie either way I could go to jail Thatd be a pretty high price to pay for yielding to temptation  Anbaby youre tempting

Aw, that’s the nicest thing you've ever said to me.

Look me up in a year and a half wasn’t.

Well people are funny that way They want one size to fit all Hell with weighing individuals into its framework We know youve enjoyed advantages youre brightyouve had the opportunity of a sensational education gawdknows youre wise beyond your years youre formed physically beyond the curve . .
. . You’re saying I’m curvaceous?

Youre crazy No reason to state the obvious

Oh, come on, play with me; at least that.

Youre curvaceous

she winked  You don’t want to take a turn . .
. . Want has nothing to do with this

Would you kiss me?

Why kiss you given what weve discussed

she darkened  Man alive, you know what it’s like to fuck a teenager who hasn’t a clue what they’re doing? They don’t even know I can cum.

I do I was a teenager once I was inexperienced We all start there

Well, I got experience while I was inexperienced; it’s amazing what a girl can get her hands on.

I imagine Curiosity isnt easily whetted

I’m wet for you.

he took her face in his hand My frank Frankie Ill take a kiss

her mouth was softsweet like cherries it yield just right it was a kind of kiss that begs for more

What was nice Frankie

It was nice.

I can look you up, right?

You know where I live

Man  she kicked a stone at her foot it shot and bounced erratically up the pastoral tree-arched street  emancipation sucks when you can’t utilise it in all aspects of your life.

Ah he thought frankly Frankie

Pearl Harbor scratched his memory
hed be horribly remiss if he didnt acknowledge other sneak attacks that also killed thousands of other GI Joes however  slowly   tortuously

those attacks didnt come at the hands of an unfriendly force or nation rather upsettingly so by the hands of our militarys big brainsknow-it-alls

our Vietnam GIs served the countryprotected it from a Cold War Communist threat  a bill-of-goods preposterous by any stretch of the imagination  it was called the Domino theory which in reality couldnt be conceived of anything other than greasing the wheels of military defense contractors  profiteering  and personal greed

Agent Orange

our soldiers slowly slaughtered  many of their children mutants
and any and every impediment our government could throw in their way to delay its obligation to treat and care for our veterans it did   and does

a vet he knew a friend he made said They’re playing me out until I die. Then they’ll be able to close the book on me; on me and every veteran who believed in the honor to serve in the military, serve our country. I was stupid to buy into it. The reality was there was no real threat. And tons of money were to be made off young men's lives and bodies.

AGENT ORANGE

his friend's son called him two weeks after his father died  I'm sorry to tell you that my father died. I found you in his cellphone. I knew it was important to call you. Not many people made my father's phonebook.

December 7, 1941

his uncle was aboard the Arizona when it was sunk at Pearl Harbor

he escaped with his life and to hear him tellhe never discussed it in detail perhaps with his other uncles most of who served in the European theatre but to hear him tell  all the lives lost  somehow  he was savedsaved for something very important

throughout his life that was his guiding light he was sure anything he did was right he had been anointed with blood and fire

his uncle was a religious man his Catholicism edified and supported his faith in God in Gods plan he was chosen to serve

when he was a young man at a family picnic a Fourth of July affair which was always awash with a patriotic fervor yet also exalted their Polish heritage the family picnics swamped the entire park all three ballfields the basketball courts the playgrounds the swings slides and other apparatuses you couldnt throw a stone and not hit one of his relatives  during the family picnic at last he took his opportunity to interrupt his uncles recitation of how he was miraculously saved at Pearl Harbor how he had been saved for a greater purpose

he often wondered as a boy why his other uncles who had been in combat didnt hold themselves up as this uncle did how come they didnt say they believed that they were preserved for something greater also

it wasnt often one of the young menone of the cousins interrupted an uncle but he wasnt a child any longer a child who is meant to be seen not heard a child who patently had to respect their elders in particular the familys male elders part of Americas Greatest Generation as it was beginning to be touted

who was he

he already made it clear that he would not serve in Viet Nam

he already defied proper society by living with his girlfriend

who was he
who was he to interrupt his uncles proselytising as he prepared to reveal again his firm belief as he had at picnics for years and years it had become staple he had been saved at Pearl

his interruption rocked all his uncles at once whether they sat on their behinds on top the wood picnic tablesthe attached benches or in separate colourful webbed aluminum lawn chairs

the cousins that were about froze stood with bated breath he wondered why none of his older cousins had done what he was doing now

Uncle Is it possible your survival wasnt preordained

irritated Boy?

No Im Joe  Im not a boy

Is it possible it wasnt preordained

harsh Your point.

Is it possible it was luck his uncle glared at himhis other uncles glared  Just dumb luck

they went into the house off the front porchout of the sunlight carrying their empty pint glasses

Another beer babe

Yes. That’d be nice, it’s certainly hotter that I thought it was going to be.

walking into the kitchen Would you like me to turn on the air for you If you like Id be happy to

Thank you. No, it’s not necessary. There’s a slight breeze coming through the screen, we’re in the shade, having a cold beer . . I’m fine. Thank you for thinking of me.

from the kitchen above opening the refrigerator doorloose bottles jangling on it Im thinking of you always baby Youre my favorite pastime . .
. . When you’re not writing . .
. . When Im not writing or reading  Split another bomber or would you prefer something else

A bomber would be fine.

Want me to pour or would you rather exhibit your skillyour inimitable skill of splitting a bottle perfectly

Flatterer, you trying to butter me up, get in my pants?

Mebbe I am

Pour. And come in here. I’d rather you butter me up in the same room so you don’t miss a spot. Nobody has ever buttered my bread like you, baby.

Man listen to whos buttering up who

Stop. This talk of butter is making me hungry. I’m hungry for you, an then maybe afterwards, scrambled eggs and mushrooms, toast. the first time they made lovemade love all day long he made her scrambled eggs mushrooms shallots shed never had eggs for dinner never waffles for dinner or cold cereal or jerky

We can do that Want me to wait on the beer

No. I promise, after our beer.

Ill take that You try an renege Im taking you anyways bitching or not

You’d take me against my will.

I am your will Youre minemine to do with what I want when I want how I want You told me youd be my sex slaveyou crossed your heart he entered the living room a pint in each hand she was smiling up at him laying on the couch her legs parted her blouse unbuttoned  she was crossing her heart
I’m yours. I am your sex slave.

he laughed a bellylaugh set the beers on ceramic coasters on the cedar chest they used as a coffee table You knucklehead we didnt split the twentytwo Idve juggled an spilled beer on you the carpet
Dont you move

he climbed on top of herkissed her deeply he clutched her left breast and kissed its swell This is as close I can get to kissing your heart I love you

she cradled his head to her breast  I love you too.

kneeling between her legsrighting her onto her fanny he handed her a beer

he held his beer out to her A toast then obviously looking at her firm ample breasts  Heres to lookin atcha kid she dropped her eyes to his cock yearning at his buttonfly And here’s lookin’ back atcha, honey  clinking glasses they laughed lasciviously

licking the foam from her upper lip What is this?

We havent had it in a whilewe wouldnt  a seasonal  Hopnookie

Kern River Brewing?

Damn youre a monster

We love this, haven’t had it, for what, two years?

Yah We missed last years iteration It being a seasonal makes it special

Anything with you’s special. she took another sip  Coming inside you said you wanted to talk about something?

Yes Ive been giving it some thought Some thought when we have a baby

A baby?

When we have a baby

Im not ready to have a baby.

Or am I  But when we do

Okay.  If we do.

Okay if we do

What were you thinking; although I must say I am very happy you were thinking of us having a baby . .
. . Shed be a knockout  Your looksmy brains . .
. . Hey! . .
. . Im teasin your brains aint nothing to sneeze at babe  you didnt have em beyond your obvious carnival carnal rides an attractions we wouldnt still be together  Neither you or I would settle for less  Thats been apparent since we met the second time

she laughed
the first time they met there was no chemistry drab  no magnetism magic it was mutual

So tell me what have you been thinking about our baby girl; why a baby girl?

I only make baby girls

You don’t think you could make a baby boy?

I wouldnt want to make a baby boy

I’d love to have a little girl with you

Awright Then if we have a baby our orders already inyah

Okay. If we have a baby she’ll be a girl.

A knockout like her mom

Stop.

And later built like her mom

Stop. You’re incorrigible . .
. . Ive been accused

Scewball. So what have you been thinking?

Thinkingyes  an why I wanted to sharewanted to hear your thoughts

You’re killing me.

Id like my daughters to be her godmothers

Wow! That’s some thinking.

I cant think of two people better to raise our girl if we werent able to

her eyes searched the room

she was quiet

Honestly.

I can’t either.

There’s no one on my side of the family that I would entrust to raise our baby.

However, don’t you think that asking them, you’ll excuse me, might be coercive?

I thought of that too  Halfsisters raising a halfsister

I wouldnt mean it to be coercive

And thinking hard Id accept what they decided

Some people, you know people, the big scheme of things, might consider you being coercive.

When have I ever cared what some people might think

Not ever.

I love you and your hardtack ethics. You’re unshakeable.

he smiledfoam on his lip from sipping his beer Theres nothing loose to shake

she smiled Ya wanna make love to me, now?

Baby Ive always made love to you

when people accused someone of being a sour puss he thought of anuses he thought asshole he had no idea where that imagining was founded
