I may have been born a skeptic

to the best of my reckoning  --  I did ask my parents in kind if my memory served me correctly  that for among our dense immediate family  I say dense only because we shared a one and a half bath house among eleven  --  to the best of my reckoning I was the only child who displayed a pyrotechnic proclivity to challenge authority
                                                                                                                                                           any authority

perhaps it accounted for my belligerence my questions deemed argumentative despite it not being my intent to argue

I asked a question  with the assumption that if the other answered it I might better understand their reasoning and thereby it would help clarify their position

they immediately and curtly took a defensive posture


I naturally assume a thoughtful person would be grateful for a question asked of them on the slim chance that it had not occurred to them  --  therefore the thin web of possibility or ignorance they may have looked through  the light inconsiderate  unable to see it correctly  rendered transparent  --  if tilted slightly  it might be made apparent    revealed

Why would such a question be reviled



      Lets play a game of Realism

playing said Realism also had him on the other side of the coin in regards to the inerrant Word of the Bible or any religious book or professed dogma

inerrant was just another word for perfect



he couldnt help but consider that something that is perfect cant be recognised by imperfect human beings

they would be excluded to consider by their imperfection alone

flawed cannot recognise flawless

it hasnt the capacity



thus the heavy burden of skepticism   and for the skeptic

Long sleep reloaded him

Its scenes werent improbable

                                                                                      he packed up his easel and provisions and wandered
until his dreams cried Stop

they wanted him to form his studio from the country

the let rooms he took to refresh himself
he never filled
                        he traded his paintings for food and shelter

everyone was content

he traveled on foot by bus or train or by what his thumb hooked through its eye   always seeking the next hamlet
where people who lived there worked like dogs    honestly

A days work for a days pay

these were the kind of people he found everywhere in the world   whether he found them by his fortune or misfortune
they reflected his hard passions

he worked like a dog too
                                         because his dreams demanded it
they never abated or were satisfied    they were greedy   they taught him the inscrutable definition of Insatiable

doggedly   miserly   Insatiable  

wanting always to be filled to bursting
but wouldnt burst


Insatiably they stretched his skin his skull and blistered his walking feet


only village cobblers could provide him any sort of relief   and for their work they accepted a few coins and paintings

they saw that the rest of him was for him to manage


   
Now returned to America he didnt know if he lived or if he only dreamed he lived    he purged himself with paint

the painting and purging synonymous 
sympatric symbiotic devises which helped him throw a shadow across the ground before him for when he thought
when he would look there might be nothing there

they may have been endemic

sliced of the two wishes he knew could never be realised

wishing they could see his work with their own eyes

they seemed destined to transcend simple acts and supplant the art of seeing   becoming something altogether different   transfiguring    transforming    fusing the organic and inorganic 
the living and the dreamed

his gleaming and tamed oils his watercolors  he saw them as if they consisted or were mixed with the blood in his veins

painting   it was the same as bleeding
a stigmata     a living imposition

perhaps Pope was reiterating Paul the Apostles letter to the Philippians 62 CE  “ . . . whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable   --   if anything is excellent or praiseworthy   --   think about such things . . .”

President Obama conceded Bush Juniors Administration shit so deeply in the punch bowl for its touted American Century that it is too tainted to walk away from
                              
American forces are now to remain in Afghanistan beyond 2016  beyond what he had projected   the 1000-strong garrison to protect the embassy in Kabul

President Obama might have cobbled it nicely not only into his distinct failure to extract America from its Imperial wars 
but America as a whole too

particularly those Blue Red and White Americans who elected a myopic Right to gerrymandered districts to Obstruct and Obstruct and Obstruct and then foment apoplectically at its abject 2012 failure to elect Willard Romney
